- Once you have admitted to yourself you are in debt then the rest is easy.
- It take perseverance to get out debt by learning how to budget properly.
- You need to learn which debt needs to be paid out first.
- If you feel you are going to miss a payment on a debt then let the creditor know. It will look worse of they find out about the missed payment and have to call you.

- Work out what you priority debts are such as rent, rates and utilities and get then paid first.
- Learn your budget so you know exactly what is coming our of the bank.
- Don’t take out too much cash from the ATM machines. Only get out what you need.
- Understand that you will not get out of debt overnight. It takes time and patience and the right advice.
