Much of the 'old school' gay discrimination has been both systematically and socially removed over the last few years, however in the world of finance there remains certain issues to be cautious about. - A number of life insurers require single men to complete a 'lifestyle questionnaire'
- Some applicants for financial services are STILL required to undergo an HIV
- Some life insurers, will increase ( load ) your premium because of your sexuality
- If your premium is loaded your name may be added to a central register used by all life assurance companies - the is the affectionately termed 'impaired lives register.'
