How long will it take to reclaim my unfair bank charges?
It depends on the bank but you should allow 3-4 months. If Claims Financial Ltd need to go to trial it may be a little longer.
Can I claim charges that have been applied to my Credit cards as well as my current account?
Claims Financial Ltd can help you get back all penalty charges whether Credit Cards, Personal Current Accounts, Loan Accounts and even Business Accounts. Claims Financial Ltd may ask you to supply the necessary information in relation to accounts other than your current or business account if the sum claimed is less than £500.
Do I have to pay you anything before I am paid?
No. Claims Financial Ltd do not charge any upfront fees unlike some of its competitors. Claims Financial Ltd do all the work and fund all the costs.
I have moved bank and no longer have an account, does that matter?
No, Claims Financial Ltd can still make a full claim for all charges in the last 6 years.
Do you think the bank will close my account if I make a claim?
“The Banking Code Standards Board” states that the banks should not take a “disproportionate response” and should always treat customers “sympathetically and positively” but Claims Financial Ltd cannot offer any guarantee that the account will not be closed as their conduct is out of Claims Financial Ltd’s hands.
Will the Bank contact me?
They shouldn’t contact you, as you will have given Claims Financial Ltd authority to act on your behalf. If they do contact you concerning your claim for bank charges then please let Claims Financial Ltd know immediately.
What if the bank refuses to cooperate?
In the rare case where your bank refuses to pay anything, Claims Financial Ltd will recommend that either your case be referred to a National law Firm so that your claim can be issued in the County Court, or Claims Financial Ltd will refer your case to the Financial Services Ombudsman who have broad powers to resolve the dispute. This is sometimes cheaper and quicker than the Court process.
Will this process affect my credit rating?
No, it will not have any effect on your credit rating.
Will my claim definitely be successful?
There are no guarantees but apart from one or two unusual cases that you have probably read about in the papers, the banks have reluctantly settled all claims to avoid a binding Court precedent.
Can I claim for more than 6 years of charges?
No. As a matter of law you can only claim back six years from the date of your claim.
