HOW WE CAN HELP
Individual Voluntary Arragement (IVA)
Are YOU considering an IVA?.....For some years we have witnessed the growing use of Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVAs) by those seeking to address unmanageable levels of debt. If you would like to consider an IVA please call 0800 074 6918 for personal UK debt advice.
IVA stands for Individual Voluntary Arrangement, and is one of a number of debt solutions available to individuals who are struggling to pay their debts. We offer detailed debt advice and can help arrange an IVA where it is agreed to be the best debt solution.
An IVA is often the perfect debt solution for some people who have come to a point in their lives when they are unable to repay their debts. The interest payments are so high that the debt isn't reducing, and taking on more debt is just going to make matters worse.
If you have debts of more than £12,000 across all of your creditors then an IVA could be an option for you. If successful, interest stops and as long as you keep up with the agreed smaller monthly repayments, you will be free of the unsecured debts involved in five years or less. What's more, your home is protected and you will be able to lead a normal life without the stress of building debts hanging over you. Once an IVA is accepted 50% to 75% of debt is typically written off.

Bankruptcy is a court order that you can apply for if you are in debt. Someone you owe money to can also apply to make you bankrupt even if you don't want this.
You might want to think about bankruptcy if you have no money to pay your debts, or have so little that it will take you years to repay them.
Once you have been made bankrupt, you don't have to deal with the people you owe money to (your creditors). An official called the Official Receiver takes control of your money and property, and deals with your creditors. [read more about the bankruptcy procedure here...]
